Let's celebrate the natural beauty of the Rondout Valley Central School District together! We're inviting everyone – students, residents, visitors – to submit their best photos taken within our district boundaries for a chance to be featured in the upcoming school year calendar.
Share your unique perspective and help us create a calendar that truly reflects the beauty around us!
Consider these themes: Views & Skies, Landscapes, Water, Flowers, Plant Life, Birds, Insects, Seasonal Wonders, etc.
PHOTO CONTEST GUIDELINES
- Photos must be taken within the district boundaries.
- You may submit a maximum of TWO entries.
- Digital color photographs may be submitted in .jpg/JPEG format only, between 640 x 480 to 800 x 600 pixels in size (larger images will be resized; smaller ones cannot be enlarged and will not be used if deemed too small) and a minimum resolution of 300 dpi, or between 2-4mb.
- Images must not have been digitally altered in any way other than necessary burning, dodging and cropping.
- Photos may not contain people.
- Photos may not have watermarks (copyrights, names or other text overlays), camera time/date stamps, or decorative borders.
- The individual submitting the entry must be the photographer.
Photos should be emailed to rchase@rondout.k12.ny.us.
Each photo must be accompanied by an Entry Form. FILL OUT THE FORM HERE.
THE DEADLINE FOR ENTRIES IS 5 P.M. ON WEDNESDAY, JUNE 18.
Entries become the property of the Rondout Valley Central School District and will not be returned.
Contest winners will be recognized by photo credit. Selected photos may also be displayed throughout the District. Any and all entries may also be used as described herein.
***By submitting a photograph in the contest, you acknowledge and agree that the Rondout Valley Central School District shall have the right (without limitation or compensation to you) to edit, adapt, modify, reproduce, publish, promote, display and otherwise use your entry in any way it sees fit, including the right to publish your entry online and in print, as described herein.***

Members of the Rondout Valley Central School District (RVCSD) community united for an inspiring day on May 2, when the District hosted its fourth annual Special Olympics event on its Kyserike Road campus. With 114 students from all five schools participating, the event was a powerful celebration of courage, determination, and the joy of inclusion.
