The Rondout Valley Central School District (“DISTRICT”) hereby invites the submission of sealed proposals for the following:

The DISTRICT requests proposals from qualified firms/individuals interested in providing Health Insurance Broker Services. The District is particularly interested in partnering with a licensed Broker that has demonstrated experience working with public school districts and knowledge of Collective bargaining Agreements.  The Vendor will have thorough understanding and knowledge of health insurance plans from multiple insurance companies, providing a broad range of options to the DISTRICT. 

As background, the DISTRICT is located in Ulster County.  The DISTRICT is a large school district that services pre-kindergarten through twelfth grade.  The DISTRICT contains five academic buildings and encompasses 200 square miles. For the 2025-2026 school year, the DISTRICT had a total PK-12 enrollment of 1,600 students, The DISTRICT employs approximately 355 full-time employees es (faculty, staff and administration).  The 2025-26 school year general fund operating budget is $80,470,116.  

In order to receive consideration, proposals must be submitted to the District Office at the above address no later than 2:00 p.m. on May 15, 2026. If the DISTRICT is officially closed on the date scheduled for submission of proposals, the required date for submission will be on the next day the DISTRICT is officially open.
